Wow- this tea smells good.Golden Moon tea has some interesting categories on their website - even a section called cuisine. There is a sweetness like burnt sugar or molasses with a hint of berries and a touch of vanilla liquor in the background coming from the dry leaves. The infused leaves went to the greener side of Oolongs and the scent wasn't as sweet as the dry. In the cup however, I could really smell the caramel.
The taste was delicious. It was rich, lots of caramel and somehow didn't taste like it smelled. If you normally add sugar to your teas, you don't have to on this one. On the 2nd infusion I could smell more of a green tea aroma, and an astringent taste became more apparent.
I would buy this again and recommend it for those who don't know if they want a green or a black tea because it has the best of both worlds.
