I always like looking at Rishi’s website. I like the clean lines and cool pictures. They have a section called travelogue in which they talk about the gardens where they get their tea from. This particular tea is from Nantou, Taiwan. The dry tea really does smell like lilacs, just like the package says it will.I used my zarafina maker and put it on the oolong setting. After the tea had steeped, I couldn’t believe how open the leaves had become, especially for a first infusion. It still had a good floral aroma. While in the cup there was an addition of just a hint of spiciness that was enjoyable. I really like this tea, it was buttery and creamy with a full mouth feel. The second infusion was just as good. The third still had the same color as the second. As I kept making the infusions I couldn’t stop myself from picking up the leaves and smelling them. The 4th infusion became more mild. This tea was surprisingly good iced as well.
