I really need a good relaxing herbal tonight. It's been one of those days...have dry wallers coming tomorrow to repair a 8 ft by 4 ft hole in my ceiling from a leaky pipe and I have a respiratory infection which features a dry hacky cough. Of my current samples this is the only herbal and Citrus Lemon just sounds like something I actually need right now. When I open the sample I am greeted by something I wasn't quite expecting...mint. I was kinda leaning towards wanting the lemon, but this smells really good so I proceed with the preparation. My neighbor stopped by to see the mammoth hole in my ceiling and this ended up steeping a good 7-8 minutes. The predominant aroma coming from cup is, well, mint. I'm not complaining because I like mint. After checking out Tea Zone's website I find that the ingredients in this blend are lemongrass, orange peel, rosebuds, and mint. The price of most of their blends looks pretty reasonable. One that caught my eye is their cinnamon apricot tisane (I would love to try that). I digress...back to the Citrus Lemon.
I can taste all of the flavors sans rosebuds as this cools. I did end up adding a little honey to this and liked it better with the honey. If this were blended to my personal tastes the lemon would be more dominant or maybe just named differently? I enjoyed this sufficiently well, but it did lack that something special that sends me to the website plotting my order because I have to have this blend and now! This is very reasonably priced though and certainly worth further contemplation when you consider that you can get 2 oz of this for just $2.99 and a half lb for $9.99.
