Katie’s Teaview Snapshot
"This is the kind of tea that is a great staple - one you can buy in bulk and enjoy every day."

I remember when I first started drinking loose teas, I preferred black teas because of their harsh boldness. I pretty quickly strayed and began giving my primary affections to green tea. Eventually I found out about the world of oolong teas, and I've recently decided that, as a plain tea, nothing beats a good oolong. I still love all the other tea genres, but oolong is my current favourite, and this tea is a perfect example of why.The tightly-rolled leaves unfurl beautifully into a creamily-scented pale green tea. Needless to say, I was extremely stoked to try out this beauty, and needless to say, I was not disappointed.
David's Tea describes the flavour of their orchid oolong as lilac, and without hearing that word beforehand, I probably would not be able to pick it out. This fact does not bother me in the least, as this tea is utterly fantastic, and the floral taste is prominent enough that you could stick any light flower name to it without me objecting.
The flavour is complex and light, remaining interesting without any individual aspect being overpowering and without the overall experience becoming too strong. This is a great tea to drink by itself just for the experience or with meals as a palate cleanser. This is the kind of tea that is a great staple - one you can buy in bulk and enjoy every day. Thumbs up, David's Tea!
