Thumbs up!"This oolong has a nice sweet coconut taste and the nutty aftertaste associated with Formosa oolongs. I like it best lightly sweetened with a touch of rock cane sugar."

adagiococonutpouchong"Even as the temperature drops, you'll have a tropical getaway with every cup of our exquisite Coconut Pouchong. This delicate and light oolong tea from Taiwan is combined with the flavor of fresh coconut to produce a very sweet flavor that'll be sure to bring you back to the beach! "--Adagio.

This is great stuff! I had been eyeing a coconut pouchong from another company's website for some time. I hadn't given in to my urge to order it yet because it is a little of splurge. When I saw that Adagio had brought one out as a new blend, I had to have it. They have also recently introduced several other new blends.

Adagio offers this in a 2 oz since for those us that want a little more than a sample but 4 ounces is too much of a commitment. This smells amazing right out of the tin--of sweet coconuts and green oolong leaves. I've steeped this up a couple of times already and my advice is not to follow the directions for steeping on the tin. I have had the most perfectly flavored cup from water cut short of boiling and only steeped for 4 minutes. Oolong pros will know that you only need to use a small quantity for a flavorful cup and to let the oolong cool sufficiently to enjoy the best taste.

This oolong has a nice sweet coconut taste and the nutty aftertaste associated with Formosa oolongs. I like it best lightly sweetened with a touch of rock cane sugar. The leaves from this one don't unfurl to mammoth proportions such as seen in some other oolongs. Some of the other Formosa oolongs I have tried are also a much stronger cup of tea. This is more of a delicate oolong. I've infused this now up to 3 times and had a terrific cup each time. The first infusion provides the most flavorful cup, but truthfully the second infusion is my favorite--so light and delicate is the oolong, but there remains a linger of coconut. This should be amazing as iced tea.

I will definitely be getting more of this when I run out and in one of the larger sizes. The 2 oz tin that I ordered was $9. They also have a new Ali Shan Oolong that I should have ordered too. If you like coconut and oolong, then this is a must try that I suspect will stay in your regular rotation. I can't wait to take a glass of this iced with me to the beach!
