I'll admit to not having too much experience with white teas. I've had them before, of course, but I usually don't keep loose leaf white tea on hand, since it tends to be a bit more expensive than other kinds of tea. Also, white tea is usually very delicate, and I have a tendency to prefer stronger flavors. However, I was excited to try this blend as I've been enjoying lighter and more delicate teas lately, and this looked like a wonderful white tea to start with.Since I don't brew white tea often, I'm not 'up' on what makes the leaves high-quality, but I know in general big leaves are good with any tea. My sample had some very nice full leaves, and quite a few that were broken up, but it looked as though most the breakage had occurred in the mail, since it was merely a sample and was shipped in its little sample bag, which I'm sure is not ideal.
The leaves smelled of peach and melon with white tea undertones; overall, very delicious smelling. The melon and peach together blend very well and smelled very much like pear (I though it was pear until I looked at the description of it again).

Bottom Line: If you like flavored white teas, this is definitely a must-try. The flavoring is not real strong, but it's very well suited to the white tea base, and makes a wonderfully refreshing and overall delicious cup of tea.
