"I can't recall ever trying a coconut-flavored tea, but this definitely qualifies. Cinnamon and coconut are the dominant scents here. As to what star anise or any of the other ingredients smell like, I'm not sure."

I received this as part of a Zhi promotion. Funny thing is I don't remember doing it. Call it luck, I guess. Sweet Desert Delight is a smörgåsbord of chimerical ingredients. Rooibos is used for the base, as is customary for many heavy-bodied tisanes. The round-outs are what perk interest, though; star anise, cinnamon, stevia leaf, cacao, and coconut.I can't recall ever trying a coconut-flavored tea, but this definitely qualifies. Cinnamon and coconut are the dominant scents here. As to what star anise or any of the other ingredients smell like, I'm not sure. The two Cs clearly hold supremacy.
With 12 ounces of water, I brewed 2 teaspoons for 8 minutes; the tail end of the recommended timeframe for further richness. The liquor darkened to a deep red, which I expected. Taste-wise, I can't say the "desert" label applies. I was more reminded of a tropical summer night. Fruity hints along with the powerful coconut/cinnamon combo supported this vision. Aside from a much-needed renaming, this is a bold and beautiful concoction.
