This, by far, has to be my most unusual Teaviews review to date. Tavalon's "Menage a Gummies" is a collection of gummi bears flavored with three different tea flavors: acai blue, pom white tea and peach green tea. Unlike other gummi bears that are loaded with artificial flavors, these gummi bears are flavored only with natural flavors. Tavalon describes this fun trio as such: "A healthy, wholesome snack that is packed with the antioxidants of its hand-selected, organic ingredients, these soft and satisfying confections are refreshing at any time and any age. Uses only real fruit extracts resulting in true flavor." These gummi bears were quite enjoyable, and while not remarkably different from your run-of-the-mill gummi bears, a couple of positive attributes did stand out. First, the flavor of these gummi bears, was, as promised, very genuine. I particularly loved the peach green tea flavor, as the peach was very strong and natural. The acai blue and pom white tea flavors were fairly similar to me, but also teeming with natural flavor. It was quite refreshing to enjoy gummi bears without all of the artificial flavors. The fruit flavors dominated, so I couldn't really taste any tea in these treats. The second really great thing about these gummi bears was the texture, which I found to be tougher than the typical gummi bear. Tough may seem like a harsh word to describe the candy, but what I mean by that is that these gummi bears had a little more substance to them and were a bit chewier, which ultimately made me feel more satisfied with these than with the typical gummi bear which can practically dissolve in your mouth. In all, these were really tasty, and I'm glad I had the chance to sample them. Menage a gummies is a good treat for sweet tooths such as me, because while satisfying the sugar cravings, these treats offer natural fruit flavors and antioxidants, so one can feel less guilty about indulging in gummi bears. Furthermore, while these treats are made from all natural flavors, they aren't extremely different from other gummi bears, and could pretty much pass for the artificially-flavored variety without much fuss. Having said that, however, I will note that these treats are considerably more expensive than the typical gummi bear, costing $5.50 for 4 ounces. or $20 for a pound I imagine these would be a treat to indulge in if you have a desire to have a somewhat healthier treat; however, at that price, I doubt that one would make a habit out of consuming these on a regular basis. Still, I would recommend you try these at least once if you're curious to try a naturally-flavored gummi bear that uses fruit and tea flavors.
