Other than having a gimmicky name, Orange U Slim is a delightful tea offered by Teas Etc. This tea is an oolong tea flavored with orange. The oolong tea is a dark Chinese variety that has a medium body and a detectable, though subtle, floral quality to it. The floral element pairs quite nicely with the orange flavor of this tea. Although I could not find the ingredients listed on the website, the orange flavor is very natural in its taste, so I would be surprised if this tea was artificially flavored. The orange flavor was satisfying, but not overwhelming in its strength. I would also describe the orange flavor as long-lasting, as there was a little citrus kick in my mouth long after finishing each sip. The orange provides a perfect level of natural sweetness, making the addition of any other form of sweetener unneccessary. I tried this tea both hot and cold, and it is equally enjoyable each way. This is a perfect example of a flavored oolong done right. I tend to shy away from flavored oolongs because I think that oolongs typically have enough to offer on their own, but Teas Etc's Orange U Slim uses flavors to enhance rather than mask the flavors that the oolong brings to the table. This really is a delicious brew, and at $8.95 for 3 ounces or $21.50 for 8 ounces, you can't go wrong with this one! Now if this tea only lived up to its name, I would have shed a few pounds by now!
