adagiovanillachaiThe aroma includes each element suggested in the title, independently providing the scents of rooibos, vanilla, and chai. As expected, the chai plays the dominate role in that scent following the water merger.

This is a biting chai. It doesn't carry the calm properties of rooibos and any flavor effect from the little red needles is difficult to determine. The vanilla presence is also extremely slight on the tongue.

The positives and negatives of a chai revolve around the punch of indian spices. Sometimes that punch is invigorating, invoking memories of log cabins and fox hunts. Sometimes it is friendly, like a warm, familiar quilt. In this case, it is loud, closer to the effects of a fair paprikash.

The sense of the tea is fair and the texture is sound for masala chai. The tingling of the tongue after induction is on par for the chai march as well. Altogether, this is a reasonable chai, but it seems almost irrelevant to include the rooibos. Perhaps it was merely an attempt to broaden the target audience, although I hope that is not the case. This is an okay purchase for chai sippers.
