This is a pretty blend, somewhere between wild bird seed blends and potpourri. It smells unusual before brewing and a bit off afterward. The ginger provides the bulk of the strange aroma, characterized on the site as anise, licorice, ginger and coriander. With the exception of the coriander, these are listed as required components of the drink. This blend does not suit me. It is key to separate my personal tastes from generic tastes in scenarios such as this one, as I have never tested an herbal tea of this nature. That said, the ginger carries very heavily throughout, along with cinnamon, providing flickers of pumpkin pie. It tastes rugged and loose, like when a recipe doesn't quite finish as intended.
It's drinkable, but it doesn't settle well. The two pumpkin pie spice components are too strong, leaving little of their counterparts to be found in scent or flavor. Altogether, I just don't care for it. However, as aforementioned, I have nothing to compare it to.
