This is the prettiest tea I have ever had! I brewed it as I was making breakfast this morning, popped in the tea bag and when I came back to my cup exclaimed: “Oh! How pretty!” The liquor is a beautiful amethyst shade. This is a very fun, summery tea. The fruit flavors are most dominant here. White peach hits you first, followed by red raspberry. It’s a green tea, but I don’t get a lot of typical, earthy green tea flavor; nor do I detect the “splash of champagne” the web site speaks of. I tried this hot and iced. I’m not sure if it was the evening air on my porch swing, but I thought it was much better iced! Personally, I do enjoy fruity teas cold better than I do piping hot.
I would have preferred a bit more of a Bellini flavor, although I’m not sure how you could convey the bubbly flavor of champagne in a tea. All in all, I really liked this. I should also explain what a Bellini is for those who don’t know. The drink is a mixture of pureed fruit and champagne; named for 15th century Venetian artist, Giovanni Bellini.
