Katie’s Teaview Snapshot
"I don't have to know what I'm drinking to think it's a masterpiece, like a piece of art."

When I first smelled this tea, I knew it would be no ordinary cup. I was a bit cautious upon first taste because Teatulia's Tulsi Infusion smells like nothing I have ever drunk before. It is extremely rich with just a hint of peppery bite, and I absolutely love it. The peppery flavour blends well, standing out in the aftertaste, but by no means overpowering the tea. I can understand people wanting to describe it as similar to Chai tea, but I personally don't like Chai, so I interpret this flavour very differently. I love its uniqueness! It is very rich and has a bit of basil flavour, although I am unsure if there is actually any basil (at least the kind I am used to) in this tea blend. The savoury quality of this tea is unique and appreciated. It certainly isn't for everyone, especially those who prefer sweeter and more delicate blends. It is the sort of flavour that makes me think of it as "the beer drinker's tea," for those who prefer their liquids to have a meatier quality.
At $20/2 ounces or $10.99 for 16 bags, this is a bit out of the average tea drinker's price range, but I believe it's well worth the cost on the occasional splurge, especially since the bags and canister they come in are biodegradable. This tea is also organic, so props to Teatulia for caring about the environment. I don't entirely understand what is in this tea, but I don't really care. I don't have to know what I'm drinking to think it's a masterpiece, like a piece of art. I like to think that it's made with rainbows and unicorn giggles.
Now if you'll excuse me, I am off to make another cup.
