I'm very impressed with white teas in general; the beautiful leaves with soft downy fuzz, the delicate scent and taste, along with all the complexities that go with it. However, this white tea was not exactly impressive. It started out good; the leaves are a wonderful mix ranging in color from dark green to white/gray, with a good bit of the fuzz typically associated with white tea. Most of the leaves where pretty big, too.The scent of the unbrewed tea was sweet and crisp, much like the other white teas I've tried, and once brewed the sweetness was even more pronounced. And the brewed tea had the same sweetness, though it was just a touch. Otherwise it was the delicate flavor that white teas are known for. However, there wasn't much more than that. It wasn't bad by any means, but it lacked the depth that many other white teas present.
Bottom Line: It's a solid white tea, but nothing special. Certainly, if you like white teas there's no harm in giving it a try, but even a newcomer to white tea like me can tell you that you'll find a higher-quality blend much more satisfying.
