I've sampled a few other flavored green teas from Adagio, and I've had mixed results. Even so, I was hopeful for this blend, as it is rated pretty well on Adagio's site. I wasn't entirely let down, but it wasn't quite as good as I would have liked. The loose tea itself looks very nice, but nothing special: it looks like green tea. Lovely, yes, but not terribly exciting. The tea also smells equally strongly of green tea and apricot (and not the fake candy apricot flavor, either; it smells like the real deal). It's a pleasant combination, as the sweet and fruity elements from the apricot mix quite nicely with the vegetal and grassy scent of the green tea.
The brewed tea tastes pretty much like the dry leaves, though not quite as strong. The green tea is fairly strong, though not bitter at all, and the apricot is clearly present (again, tasting like real apricots). And again, the fruit flavor blends very nicely with the green tea, so neither flavor overpowers the other. The green tea is a bit stronger than the apricot; not overpoweringly so, but still noticeable, and possibly a turn-off for some people.
Bottom Line: It's a solid blend, but admittedly, nothing special. It tastes good, and the flavors blend nicely, and while the mingling of the two flavors is fairly complex for a simple flavored green tea, the green tea is a bit stronger than I personally would have liked. If you're a fan of green tea and apricots, definitely give this one a try, though if don't like the taste of green tea all that much, you might want to look elsewhere for your apricot fix.
