Katie’s Teaview Snapshot
"This tea is sweet and calming and contains a unique blend of flavours."

I wasn't sure what to think of this tea. My experiences with TeaGschwendner teas have not been particularly compelling, either in a positive or a negative way. Also, my venture into the world of flavoured oolongs has been largely unsuccessful, but not to the extent that I have been ready to give up.My wariness of this tea was compounded upon smelling the dry leaves since, while sweet and interesting, I got the impression that the flavour wasn't one I would find appealing. I anticipated a richer tea, more reminiscent of coffee than oolong. I brewed it for 2 minutes, as recommended by the website.
I ended up being pleasantly surprised. The oolong base is rich and well-balanced with the hazelnut and vanilla flavouring. The scent was a bit lacking, and the depth wasn't impressive, but this tea remains smooth and consistent all the way through. This tea is sweet and calming and contains a unique blend of flavours.
This blend has helped restore my faith in oolongs with add-ins. This proves that if properly done, some flavours can blend well with this delightful branch of tea.
