zhenapapayamangoIt is difficult to describe the blend that results from papaya and mango. On a table, the fruits don't complement each other well. Both have independent value, but the core tropical flesh of the two are too similar to create a significant contrast. As a result, the initial impression is that this tea is an unplanned experiment.

Thick fruit teas frequently produce either syrupy or thin teas, draped in the heavy flavors of the fruit with little tea involved in the brew. This creates an experience akin to sipping punch rather than tea. This tea falls in that category, unfortunately.

The flavor is closest to cherry, should I select a single flavor, which is the type of outcome that can result from strange fruit mergers. The texture is a bit thin on the front end and lags too long on the other end. Altogether, the tea is drinkable, but it isn't something to seek out unless counter fruit tea is the goal.
