Thumbs up!"The brewed tea is intensely infused with jasmine. I am not sure that this tea would appeal to a broad audience, but as far as pleasing a specific niche of jasmine tea lovers, this tea should succeed and succeed well. "

cantonjasmineyinCanton Tea Co.'s Jasmine Yin Zhen, or Jasmine Silver Needle is HIGHLY aromatic, in a heady yet pleasant way. This tea hails from China's Fujian province and is prepared in the authentic and traditional manner of making jasmine tea. The dried leaves are attractive and indicative of a high quality white tea; the broad, pale green leaves are covered in soft, downy hairs. After preparing my tea, the strained leaves were still very fragrant. The brewed tea is intensely infused with jasmine. The Canton Tea Co. website describes the tea as soft and mellow, and I couldn't disagree more. Although jasmine is a soothing aroma/flavor, its presence here was in no means muted or delicate. I personally am not a huge fan of floral teas so I found this tea to be a bit reminiscent of fancy soaps. However, this tea is ideal for those that absolutely love jasmine. I am not sure that this tea would appeal to a broad audience, but as far as pleasing a specific niche of jasmine tea lovers, this tea should succeed and succeed well. The jasmine flavor masked, for the most part, the white tea. White tea is such a subtle beverage, so this is not surprising. Despite my personal dislike of strong floral teas, I still found this tea to be of high quality and would recommend this to the jasmine tea lovers I know.

This sounds lovely. I just sampled their Jasmine Pearls, which seems to be the rolled up version of this one. Really enjoyed it!
