|"For a lover of mint, the scent is a pure delight with the mint appearing as a top note, ginger in the middle and the Ceylon as a delicious base. "|
I used my trusty Zarafina tea maker set on black and medium strength. The website recommends a teaspoon to one cup of water and I prefer really big mugs so I used two. The color of the tea itself is a very dark golden color and aroma has changed with the ginger coming to the fore with just a touch of mint. The taste of the mint is rather lighter than expected considering the original scent and the amount of mint itself. Instead the Ceylon has come on strong with the ginger adding that twist that raises Purity from good to very good. This is one tea that I will certainly purchase not only for the taste but for the ginger. And that the price is so reasonable doesn't hurt at all either.
I also enjoyed wandering about Tavalon’s website and making a wish list. They have some blends that really have me intrigued. I just wish that they would have open up some of their Tea Bars on the west coast, perhaps challenge Starbuck's reign of terror.
