They have these unique little silken bags that are pyramid shaped and kind of cute and clever. The pyramid shaped sachets are nice because they do allow for a bit for tea leaves to expand and any other additives (fruit, flowers, etc) to mingle about inside and (hopefully) flavor the cup nicely. They have a very nice website and also sell loose leaf for those of us who are too snobby to use bags/sachets on a regular basis (me).
Tea Forte lists the ingredients of this blend as green tea, marigold flowers, and flavoring. I prepared this with water that had begun to steam but not really bubble and infused for 3 min. The resulting cup is dominated by the flavor of the green tea, which is mild and slightly vegetal. The flavoring in this cup is pretty mild and I believe the tea is more scented than flavored really. There is a mild fruity/mango finish that is pleasant, but you kind of have to work to really call this mango flavored. This is more of a green tea with subtle mango notes.
Overall, this blend is not a bad choice and I have certainly had worse tea from a bag/sachet. I would recommend this to those that like mild green teas and want a hint of flavor with a nice aroma to give interest. Overall, this is not a blend that I would purchase for myself, but would not discourage friend/family from this offering.
