goldenmoonkashmirichaiOne of the meekest chai teas in existence, this unusual blend of black and green tea creates an unusual result. Even the initial aroma implies that the concoction will be unique. Something like a green pearl with spice mixed in, the scent of the dry leaves and the milder version of the liquid doesn't feel like a chai.

The flavor itself, however, insists on a notable presence of the key ingredients to any chai. They are, however, in very small doses. It's possible to claim that this is a chai for people who don't drink chai. It might also be possible to claim that the tea was not designed as a chai at all, but rather demanded the addition of those specific spices. Either way, this is a soft, quiet tea that still carries enough of those necessary pieces to qualify for its title.

The black tea flavor, as I believe to be predominant, is tinted with the cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon to just the slightest degree. The result is a merger that is, if nothing else, quite interesting. For my personal tastes, it was slightly better than par for teas in general. That said, I believe the potential to be something greater, depending on the tastebuds of the recipient, is significant. I would recommend this for those seeking quiet chais or those seeking spicy black-and-green combinations.
