teapalacemonteviotThis pleasant first flush carries a scent midway between honey and dandelion. The pine green leaves (darker than those displayed on the site) merge with hot water for a brief three minutes to produce a similarly scented liquid. Having tossed this blend in with the water a few times, my personal preference is to let it steep a bit longer, but it is fine as described.

The tea offers the correct quantity of bitter in the flavor spectrum, balancing an otherwise hearty and friendly cup. I don't care for bitter teas, so anything beyond a touch is unacceptable. This is truly an amiable blend. It doesn't spike at any point during consumption; there is great consistency.

The second steep is as enjoyable as the first. A smooth and calm texture, proper and consistent flavor, and friendly aroma combine to produce a very pleasant experience. This is a fine first flush.
