Normally when I open up a package of sample teas and one scent is strongly standing out, I am excited to try the predominant blend. When this one reached my nostrils, however, I wasn't sure what to think. I felt the dry herbal scent was just too strong to come across as realistic, but an unsteeped scent frequently refrains from translating literally to flavour. The steeped results are exponentially milder yet equally distinct. I cannot even consider the flavour reminiscent of creamsicle, since it pretty much is the dessert itself. It's like they melted down the ice cream treat, concentrated it, and mixed it with rooibos. If you like creamsicles, you will almost definitely love this tea.
You may be wondering why I didn't give this a stellar rating if it's such a great flavour, and the reason is mostly twofold: $4.50 an ounce is more than I prefer to pay for a rooibos because I am an unreasonably cheap jerk. Mostly, though, the problem is that I am just not in love with that whole creamy orange flavour in general. That's definitely my fault for not reading the description better before saying I'd review this tea, so again, I'm a jerk.
Local Coffee + Tea, if you're reading this review, make this same blend with strawberry (or blueberry or raspberry) instead of orange while keeping everything else the same, and I will LOVE it.

It’s just come to my attention that Local Coffee + Tea DOES have a raspberry version, which I will definitely have to try with all sorts of enthusiasm! Rock on.
