Here I am - it's August, and I'm visiting my grandparents in Northern Canada. I had to sleep with a space heater and two comforters last night because I was so cold, so despite the odd season, today I feel ready for a cup of Christmas Coco Spice. After four minutes, I remove the leaves and sit here with my cup.

The smell lit up the whole kitchen like a campfire while this blend steeped, and the scent is equally alluring up close. I hoped for a warming and inviting herbal, one that makes you feel toasty and celebratory, but I am finding myself disappointed with the first few sips, since I expected something more robust and, well, spicy.

The addition of milk and sugar don't add or detract particularly from the blend. I attempted a second steep with two teaspoons of tea, and once again I am finding myself with just an all right blend. I have found others that are more warming, flavourful, spicy, and I was really just hoping for something more adventurous and less mellow. I'll sit here and finish my cup, undoubtedly enjoying it, then I'll make something else to warm me tonight.
