This rooibos is very broad in its flavors and yet simultaneously holds true to its sleep-friendly roots. The blend of apples, rose hips, cinnamon, and lemon grass would argue for a bold and spicy presentation on the tongue. To the contrary, it maintains subtle posture and allows an easy and gentle cup of tea.The apple flavor stands out more than the other elements, although each plays a role in the end result. In regards to the scent of the beverage, the cinnamon is boldest. The combination of these two factors lend a cider-like attribute to the tea that is quite reasonable. A fair rooibos texture combined with the soothing traits of rose hips create a generally peaceful aura.
While the overall emotional impact of this blend is only slightly above par for a rooibos, the brave merger of such a wide variety of ingredients is admirable and the result is enjoyably smooth. To rooibos sippers seeking something unique that still adheres to the rooibos code, this is a solid purchase.
