Review: Tea Forte African Solstice

Tea Forte is a tea company that offers a variety of teas both in their signature tea pyramids and loose. Their tea pyramids are perfect for weddings, showers or pretty much any get together where you will be serving teas. They are also recently come out with some new teaware that is pretty unique as well as a new rewards program.My sample of Tea Forte’s African Solstice arrived in one of signature infusers and consists of rooibos, elderberries, rosehip, blueberries, mallow flowers, rose petals, flavoring. I steeped it in boiling water for about 7 minutes. The infusion brewed up a deep, dark red with an aroma of rooibos, blueberry, vanilla and another berry scent that I am assuming is the elderberries. The taste is both sweet yet tart at the same time. I am impressed as Tea Forte has achieved such a perfect balance of ingredients that not one stands out on its own for very long. I am almost reminded of berry crumble yet at the same time reminded of fresh berries.
This is one rooibos blend that I am considering picking up to add to my tea cupboard especially as they do offer it as a loose tea. If you enjoy sweet rooibos blends, this is one to look into.
