"Holiday chai is the perfect name for this gingerbread and rum-infused spiced tea."

It has been eons since my last tea review, mostly due to being in school doing full-time clinicals and working. I have not slacked off on tea drinking, though. Now that the semester is winding down, I am ready to start actually writing about the tea I'm drinking! Since it's almost the holiday season, I think I'll start with one of my newest acquisitions: Stash Holiday Chai Tea.I read the box and was instantly intrigued. The listing included not only my beloved chai flavors, but gingerbread and rum flavors as well. I figured may as well skip the gingerbread cookies dunked in tea and save some calories; the best of both worlds in a calorie-free cup!
This tea is tasty. I do believe it may be over-gingered, though. It also lacks the smooth cinnamon and clove counterparts to balance the chai taste. What is astonishing about it is that I actually can taste rum. Indeed, this tea tastes like it is spiked! I don't see myself making it into a daily morning brew, but it is nice for an afternoon pick me up.
I have mentioned this before, but since it has been forever and a day since my last review, I'll mention it again: I like my chai to be dominated by clove. That said, this tea is obviously dominated by ginger. I don't normally care for ginger, but this has a sweeter edge to it. Gingerbread is an accurate description.
Conclusion: holiday chai is the perfect name for this body-warming spiced tea.
