Thumbs up!"This might have been yet another forgettable fruit tisane, but the jasmine brings this tea to the next level. It's hard to describe what exactly is going on in my mouth as I drink this, but the end result is that I really like it!"

teavnanapeachberryPeachberry Jasmine Sutra is one of the new teas in the Teavana lineup. This tea sounded pretty intriguing, so I had to try it. Teavana's description of this tea focuses on the jasmine tea, peach, and strawberry flavors, but further investigation on the website reveals that this tea has a whole slew of interesting flavors going on. The ingredients list is as follows: Jasmine green tea, green Rooibos, rosehips, hibiscus, apples, kiwi bits, peach bits, strawberry pieces, marigold petals and safflower petals.
I love four things about this tea. First, it is visually attractive because it has such a wide array of fruits and flowers and teas (although you do need to make sure that you mix it up well before infusing so that you get representatives of all the differents ingredients). Second, the aroma of this tea is one step shy of heaven. The peach really comes through on the scent and the overall aroma is fruity and sweet, but never overwhelming. Third on my list of accolades is that this tea is entirely natural and has no obscure "natural flavors" or artifical ingredients. Fourth, and of course most important, is the flavor. The jasmine green tea provides a surprisingly perfect base for the other fruit and flower ingredients. This might have been yet another forgettable fruit tisane, but the jasmine brings this tea to the next level. It's hard to describe what exactly is going on in my mouth as I drink this, but the end result is that I really like it. The end impression for me was a champagne-esque flavor, thanks to the intermingling of fruity and floral flavors. This tea was tasty as a hot tea, yet I found even more delicious as an iced tea (and by more delicious, I mean easy to guzzle!). I attempted a second infusion with this tea, but it's not something I would recommend because unfortunately all of the fruit flavors get spent on the first infusion. So the second infusion is really nothing more than jasmine tea, which although not bad, just doesn't live up to that lip-licking first cup. I definitely recommend this tea and predict that because of the wide range of ingredients, it will appeal to most tea drinkers.
