cranberryorangebentleybostonI'd call Bentley's Tea one of my guilty pleasure tea habits. Along the same lines as using my plastic Ingenuitea rather than a proper teapot as often as I do, I'm not sure I want to admit that no matter how expensive my tea tastes get, I'll always love bagged blueberry green with an unreasonable amount of sugar. That's what I drank as a kid, and since my mom bought me a tin of Bentley's for Christmas a few years back, they've been my favourite.

Then I realised that it was the only Bentley tea I had tried, so I should probably expand my horizons. I figured this would be a good place to start because, since it's an herbal, leaf size and quality doesn't particuarly matter.

I don't feel disappointed by this experience, but I'm not particularly moved. The blood orange takes a backseat and the token tartness of the cranberry is basically undetectable. I understand that cranberry is sometimes a polarizing flavour, but I would have preferred a more blatant interpretation of it. The rooibos is fine, but it isn't so great that it catapults this into being my new favourite blend.
