This is my first review for Teaflection, and I always like to puruse vendors websites when being introduced to them for the first time. Upon viewing, their site is well organized and easy to navigate, with a pretty decent selection of teas. They also have something that I haven't seen on a tea site: a weekly haiku contest-the winner scoring a free tea sample of their choice. This seems like a great idea to me, being interactive with their customers and encouraging people to write are two great things, and who doesn't love free tea?

The tea I opted to sample is their Chocolate Mint black tea blend. It has a very clean scent, which reminds me of a high quality chocolate mint bar that's not too sweet or too processed. Some flavored black teas can become bitter very easily, but this one does not. The black tea is smooth and pleasant. Mint seems to be the star here, as it is much more present than the chocolate flavor, and whereas this isn't the case for me, some people prefer more subtle blends for flavors like these.

I brewed up a second cup with some almond milk in attempts to bring out a richer flavor, and it worked nicely. I think this would be a good after dinner tea. It's light and slightly sweet with the hint of chocolate and ends on a fresh note with the mint. I think this could be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates tea, as it yields a subtle, but well-blended cup.
