|"This is a fantastic English Breakfast! It is a bit malty from the Assam, but not too malty! The darjeeling gives it a nice fresh flavor, while the ceylon blends in to bring some sweet pure flavor."|
So when it comes to black tea, I hoped Kteas English Breakfast blend would stand up to my high standards for my morning pot of black tea!
Every morning I have a pot of black tea. I heat the pot while the fresh cold water comes to a boil. I prefer loose leaf, either brewed straight in the pot using my "Mary Pop-In" strainer, or a basket strainer so I can perfectly time it. Then I spent the first part of my morning enjoying my tea with milk and sugar.
When I opened Kteas English Breakfast, it smelled nice, but the look of the leaves gave me great hopes. It was obvious there were several types of teas, with different sized leaves, but they were medium large and not crushed. It is also multi colored from the great blend of leaves they used.
I was especially excited to try this blend, because when I was in England 10 years ago, I bought a blend at a little tea stand, and it was a blend of Ceylon, Assam, and Darjeeling. I loved that blend have never been able to find a similar one here.
Kteas English Breakfast Blend has these three teas, plus a java. I used three scoops and brewed it 6 min. in my teapot. This was perfect! The tea was full bodied, not too strong, and not bitter. This is a fantastic English Breakfast! It is a bit malty from the Assam, but not too malty! The darjeeling gives it a nice fresh flavor, while the ceylon blends in to bring some sweet pure flavor. There is no smokiness, which is how I prefer my morning pot of tea!
I tasted it black, and it was very flavorful. It takes milk well, and sugar if desired. I could definitely drink this tea every morning!
