Wow! The mixed blends of teas and flavors are just amazing at Joys Teaspoon! I really love these unique teas! Magic Moon is a blend of black tea, green tea, and a whole bunch of fruit - chunks of fruit and a swirl of flavor!

When I first opened the package, the green tea was not as discernible as I expected, but a lovely fragrance of fruit - hit my nose. I was a bit nervous about this one as it was black tea and green tea - which brew at very different temperatures and time. But I decided to err a bit on the black tea side, hoping that the fruit might cover any mistakes this made with the green tea.

I made this decision based on the very first black/green blend I had tried. It is a seasonal teabag we get at Starbuck (my daughter is an employee) and even though it's a black/green blend, we brew it the way we would a black, including milk and sugar. I think it was a pretty good decision. I did try a bit cooler and shorter brew, but this did not allow the black tea flavor to come through.

I really enjoyed the amazing fruit flavors in this tea. They come and go and swirl like a misty moon. Magic Moon is a great name for this tea! Because of the fruit, the tea really didn't need any sweetener, and really didn't need milk either, though I drank it with milk out of habit.

When milk is added to a black tea/green tea blend, you can see that the color is lighter and I use less or it just overpowers the tea. This is a lovely light tea- and although I couldn't see the green tea very well before brewing, the leaves opened large and full!

I also enjoyed the addition of real fruit pieces and thing this brought a nice touch. The fruit flavor was almost too much for me (I never want a candy fruit tea), but Joy's Teaspoon succeeded in over-flavoring Magic Moon.

If I was going to complain about anything with the teas I've been enjoying from Joy's Teaspoon, it would be that the pictures on the website are somewhat deceiving. No tea can retain the colors that they show in their tea, and personally, I'd rather see what the tea is really going to look like, rather than a colorful picture.

This however, does not change the fact that these are great teas.

This is a very lovely tea in the afternoon when you want some good flavor, but not too much caffeine! I've enjoyed it very much!
