This tea has a potpourri-like appearance with impressively large pieces of citrus and berries readily visible. The Tealish website describes this black tea blend as flavored with blueberries, cherries, raspberries, oranges, blackberries and cranberries. I do see all of these ingredients in here, but since the website does not provide an official ingredients list, I can’t say if any other natural or artificial flavorings are also involved.

The aroma is warm and inviting. The flavor of this tea is strong and hearty, characterized by a well-balanced mix of fruits. The orange flavor balances out the various berries that would otherwise make this tea too tangy or tart for my likings. It’s been rainy with overcast skies for the last couple of days, and this tea was perfectly suited for this weather because it is comforting and hearty, but the fruitiness was a much-needed perk during these cloudy, rainy days. For me, this tea benefited greatly from the addition of a teaspoon of sugar; with all of the berry flavors going on, a little sugar was just about necessary to smooth out the tartness. The black tea base used was a nice strong one that offered malty and cocoa notes to balance out the orange and berry flavors. In all, this was a tea that I really enjoyed, and I am glad that my sample was generous enough to allow me to enjoy several cups of this blend.
