Erika’s Teaview Snapshot
"There are no real frills with this tea, just a clean and fresh cup that is easy drinking."

It’s the holiday season and winter has officially set in here in the upper Midwest. With lows hovering near zero and highs only in the low 20s, today seemed like an appropriate day to have a cold-weather type tea. I was in the mood for something strong and warming to take the chill away and a hearty black seemed like just the thing. I decided to go with Teatulia’s Black Tea, and it handled the challenge nicely.Teatulia’s Black consists of small wiry fragments of black leaves mixed with golden tips. With the exception of Teatulia’s White and Green, all offerings use the same brewing methods: a level teaspoon in boiling water with a two-minute steep. For a black tea, I was a bit surprised at the short length of the steeping time, but the brief infusion created a strong and enjoyable cup with a deep red hue.
Something I noticed about Teatulia’s tea is that you seem to get a lot of bang for your buck. A little bit goes a very long way, and the extremely generous sample I received awhile back has lasted a surprisingly long time. Needless to say, I have had many opportunities to try this particular tea and each time I have it, I get the same result. It is a simply delicious black tea.
There are no real frills with this tea, just a clean and fresh cup that is easy drinking. Personally, I didn’t find the need to add anything to my cup. However, if you enjoy adding sweetener and/or milk, both would work and the tea would hold up fine. As a basic black tea, this one stands out as being one of the better ones I’ve tasted. If you’re looking for a go-to black I highly recommend giving this one a try.
