|"One of the best desert teas that I have ran across! If you love hazelnuts then you owe it to yourself to try it out!"|
My sample was packaged up in one of Tea Forte's little tea pyramids. I am not particularly fond of them as they aren't compostable and I really hate the waste. However the aroma arising from this little pyramid almost made me forgive them. Pure decadence. I was able to pick up hazelnut and chocolate. According to their site, this blend consists of black tea, organic cacao shells, roasted coconut flakes, rose buds, chocolate chips, rose petals, natural hazelnut flavor, and other natural flavors. I didn't cut the pyramid open so I can't vouch for them all but it sure smelled good.
I just put the tea sachet into a cup and poured boiling water over it and let it steep for four minutes. The resulting liquor is a dark brown in color with the wonderful hazelnut aroma arising from it. I tried it straight and was impressed at just how smooth a blend this is. I am thinking that they use a higher quality black tea as there was no bite or dryness to be found. This would be a great tea to just drink straight however it really shines as a desert tea when cream is added. No sugar is really needed as the chocolate chips add quite a bit of sweetness. This goes beyond decadence!
I have enjoyed my samples from Tea Forte' in the past however this is the first one that I am seriously considering adding to my personal stash. Of course it doesn't hurt my feelings that I can order this as a loose tea also.
