According to Culinary Tea's website, this blend is made from a combination of premium Oolong and Ceylon teas, orange essence, and a light jasmine blossom scent. When I sniffed my dry sample, I would have put it more a blend of orange and vanilla though. There are also supposed be some dried orange and jasmine pieces added to the blend but I wasn't able to locate those.
I brewed up a pot using four teaspoons of leaves to four cups of water. I let the tea steep for three minutes. The resulting liquor is a rich amber in color with the aroma of jasmine playing with orange essence.
This is a full bodied tea that doesn't remind me of an oolong regardless of its name. Very flavorful though. Depending on the sip you might catch tastes of honey, oranges, the sweetness of jasmine, honeydew or berries. Quite tasty.
This is one tea that I plan on dropping into my cart the next time I pick up some goodies from this vendor. It's very reasonably priced for such a luxurious tea.
