|"Aroma in the cup reveals a sweet caramel-like smell, which translates perfectly into the cup."|
A coppery yellow cup brews up after a 3.5 minute infusion. Canton recommends 2-3 minutes, which also produces a lovely cup. Aroma in the cup reveals a sweet caramel-like smell, which translates perfectly into the cup. This is a subtly-sweet and creamy cup. Smooth, but with a mildly-gritty mouthfeel. I don't doubt this would make an absolutely killer iced tea in the summer time (or any time), and for sweet tea fans, the natural sweetness of this varietal accompanied with some sweetener would probably crush your palette with amazing deliciousness. But alas, I scarfed down every last bit of the tea on hand before I had a chance to give that a shot.
There is no doubt this is high-quality stuff. Straight-up, this tea is just fantastic on its own. It takes to milk and sugar (or honey) to provide a super-tasty sweet treat as well, complementing those flavors already present in the tea itself. I love trying so many different teas and delving into new flavors, brands, and blends, so it's not often I return to the same tea twice. But I'm sad this one is all gone and will be seeking out a replenishment post-haste!
