|"A very pleasant blend where the bergamot highlights the sweetness of the roses and vanilla rather then taking over."|
Visually this tea is a treat with the dark wiry tea leaves mixed with good amounts of white rose petals. The aroma is also pleasing with the scent of the bergamot softened by the aromas of rose and vanilla. I set is up to brew using four teaspoons of leaves to four cups of water and letting it all steep for four minutes. The resulting brew is a golden brown in coloring and has the same pleasing aroma as the dry leaves.
I think that I have finally found an earl grey style tea that I can enjoy. The bitterness of the bergamot that I have found in most blends is totally absent in this tea. Instead it really highlights the sweetness of the rose vanilla combo. This is a lighter tea that I can easily see sipping throughout the day.
I wouldn't recommend this blend to anyone that likes a stronger bergamot presence but it is perfect for me and for any tea drinkers like myself. In fact if you really don't care for earl grey teas, I would suggest at least giving this one a try. You might be very pleasantly surprised.
