Passion Fruit... my favorite tropical flavor! Often mixed with orange juice on the mainland, on the Hawaiian Islands one can taste Passionfruit all by itself (called Lilikoi). It has a wonderful, unique flavor, as many tropical fruits do.

I was excited to find a Passionfruit tea at American Tea Room because I know their teas are high quality. And just as I expected, this one was no exception.

Delivered in a wonderfully sealed tin, this is a very dark black tea. It has small pieces of fruit and flowers scattered throughout it. It brews up dark and flavorful, with the passionfruit being a strong flavor. It takes milk well, and I often sweeten it slightly and drink it as my afternoon "snack".

It's so flavorful, I don't need to eat anything when drinking this tea in the afternoon, which makes it a nice low calorie snack. But occasionally, I brew a whole pot in the morning, put on my Keali'i Reichel music and sit back and dream of Hawaii.

When I brew an afternoon cup, I use one teascoop (teaspoon) of tea in a tea strainer placed in my mug. I bring the water to boil and steep it for 6 min. For a pot of tea (6 cup pot) I use 2.5 teascoops and steep it for 6-7 min.

American Tea Room is located in Beverly Hills and has brought tea drinking to a whole new level. They offer a variety of "TeaVents" featuring tea samplings along a theme. They have a wonderful online store and have very gracious customer service.

Special Offer! Free shipping on all purchases over $50 from AmericanTeaRoom.com.
