Thumbs up!"Taste-wise this tea is a real pleaser. It's amazingly mellow and smooth without being thin, overly dry or without body. There's a good dry finish that leaves a clean taste coupled with a body that is full of honey and cooked fruit flavors. "

This tea is a Second Flush Darjeeling harvested from the Glenburn Estate. The leaves are medium to longer with a full fat shape and an aroma that is dry and autumnal, a tad bit sharp with sweet and fruity notes.

I treated this tea to my usual preparation for Darjeelings - a teaspoon of leaf per 8 ounces of just boiled or just under the boil water and a three minute steep time. The liquor infuses to a pale coppery orange cup and wafts a scent that is warm, sweetly honeyed and fruity with the same sharp edge that I noted in the aroma. Taste-wise this tea is a real pleaser. It's amazingly mellow and smooth without being thin, overly dry or without body. There's a good dry finish that leaves a clean taste coupled with a body that is full of the flavor of honey and cooked fruit.

For whatever reason, floral notes aren't very strong to my tastes, but fruit tastes are. I get nuances of peach and pear, rich and sweet and baked. There's not a strong aftertaste but what does linger is dry and muscatel in flavor. A second infusion is of good quality and takes sweetener very well.

I found this a really enjoyable Darjeeling. It was simple to prepare with fat, mellow baked fruit flavors that were so pleasing! Excellent!
