|"My guilty tea pleasure..."|
Already I feel like I’m doing wrong just by opening my sample bag – the aroma of roasted coffee mixed with sweet hints of chocolate is calling me. How long does it take to boil water?! I can barely wait while I steep about 1 tsp in 1 cup of boiling water for 3 minutes.
As I take in that undeniable roasted coffee scent of my liquor, I feel like I’m cheating on all of those other loose leaf teas sitting in my cupboard. While the liquor itself is of course quite thin when compared with coffee (you can’t help but compare) the taste is absolutely decadent. I can actually taste all of the tea, chocolate and coffee flavors in this blend. In fact, I prefer it without the milk just so I can enjoy the taste of everything so magnificently blended together.
Yes, this ‘novelty’ tea is in another category than say a 100 year-old-pu-erh but there’s nothing wrong with a guilty pleasure once in awhile. Both my former coffee addict and current tea lover are left more than satisfied – in fact, I may have a brand new addiction.
