After brewing 1 tsp of dry leaves at boiling for 3 minutes, thoughts of red, orange and brown leaves in Central Park, hot cider and crisp mornings all came flooding back. Both the aroma and flavor of this tea has the quality of mom’s apple pie, packed with sweet, cooked fruit flavors. The astringency on the tip of the tongue gives it a brisk quality – sort of like waking up to that first frost.
