Coconut teas are one of the several flavoured ones that usually miss the mark for my tastes, but sometimes, they're divine. As for lavender teas, I don't like to drink them often, but when I'm in the mood, they're divine.

The coconut, while it sticks more to the aftertaste than anywhere else, is pretty delicious. The sweetness of the rooibos blends seamlessly into the sweet aftertaste of the coconut. The floral lavender balances nicely with everything else. It's a surprisingly light blend. Based on the heavy, almost cloying scent, I expected a rich flavour, but it manages to be aromatic, flavourful, and light. It's relaxing, and a good nighttime cup. It is well-balanced, well-flavoured, and mostly delicious.

So why the just-Okay score? Sometimes, for me, rooibos can have a weird, for lack of a better phrase, rotten fruit flavour. It's not as gross as it sounds, but it's the best description I have. I don't know what makes some rooibos blends hit this note while others avoid it, but it always detracts for me. Whatever the base rooibos of this blend, it has that taste. Other than this unfortunate and mysterious flavour, it's a good blend. If you have no idea what taste I'm talking about, then chances are you won't taste it, so I can recommend this blend for you. Otherwise, it's still pretty good, if a bit iffy.
