Thumbs up!"I found this oolong to be a delightful and affordable addition to my tea cabinet especially when I consider that I was able to get two more steeps that were full of flavor and a third that was acceptable."

After being on the run for the past few days, a day of relaxation with good books and even better tea sounds like heaven. My tea today is from Tea Embassy who have a nice variety of teas and a website that is clean and easy to navigate. If I have one objection about the site it is the lack of brewing recommendations for the individual teas. I might not follow them exactly but it is nice to have a starting point.

The tea leaves in my sample are shaped into little fists and are olive green in all its variety of shades. The aroma is sweet, almost sugary, and definitely floral with honeysuckle and lilies.

I set it up to brew using 195 degree water and a steep time of 3 minutes. The liquor is clear with a very faint wash of green with a wonderful nutty aroma touched with honeysuckle.

Upon tasting this tea I am greeted with a surprising burst of flavors. Underlying it all is a mineral flavor and then layered on top is a nuttiness along with a sweetness from the honeysuckle. As the cup cools, I am also blessed with hints of cantaloupe.

I found this oolong to be a delightful and affordable addition to my tea cabinet especially when I consider that I was able to get two more steeps that were full of flavor and a third that was acceptable. Well worth picking up.
