tetulia-black.jpgThis organic leaf, as all the single-estate teas from the Teatulia garden, is from Bangladesh. I steep one teaspoon per cup at 208°for three minutes, later doing my second steep for five minutes. I get a bright amber liquor that smells malty and like berries.

The flavour is malty with berry notes. The mild sweetness balances out the slight astringency and bitterness. It has a bracing aftertaste. Overall, the flavour reminds me somewhat of a Ceylon black, which means it desperately needs to be sampled iced.

I steep, add a wee bit of honey, and throw it in the fridge overnight. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. This is the perfect tea for summer. it was made to be iced, and even if you drink it hot, it's pretty delicious. If you've never tried a Teatulia tea, I suggest you start, and it may be a good idea to start here.
