The neon green soup smells potent, but delicious, like a fast food milkshake. It's sweet, it's vanilla. It's strangely perfumey, and somehow, despite the vanilla being real, it comes across as somewhat artificial. Odd, but tasty.
Like the other flavoured matchas I've sampled from here, the flavouring is blended rather strongly, but unlike some of the other matchas, here it works quite well. Somehow having a strong vanilla flavour blended with the strong matcha flavour makes this a brilliant dessert-like tea. It could also be great for baking. Instead of just adding matcha to that buttercream icing, how's about vanilla matcha? I KNOW, RIGHT?! Or in a smoothie? Cake? MILKSHAKES?! I'm so excited, but that may just be the 8 ounces of pure matcha caffeine that I just inhaled. Either way, time for more.
