What better way to spend a gorgeous warm summer day then drinking a caffeine free tropical infusion. Okay I can think of better things to do such as spending time in my yard but this infusion fits right into the game plan.

My sample today smells tropical with scents of pineapple and mango. It consists of rooibos, pineapple cubes, papaya cubes, mango cubes, flavoring, lemon granules, black carrot pearls, red rose petals and pink rose buds. Now I have never heard of black carrot pearls and when I went to look it up all I could find about it was where it was an ingredient in a tea or infusion.

I set it up in my tea-maker using water heated to 210 degrees and a steep time of 8 minutes. The liquor surprised me as most rooibos I have came across is a redder in coloring instead this was a reddish gold. The aroma is delightful with a nuttiness from the rooibos along with mango and pineapple.

It tastes just as the aroma promises. There is the faint nuttiness, the sweetness of the mango and the tartness of the pineapple and lemon. Very refreshing. Since it is a warm day I also had to try it iced and was very pleased. Icing it brought out even more of the mango flavor.

I really enjoyed this infusion and might very well pick up some for the summer. It would be`a great addition to a drink lineup for a summer get together.
