This oolong presents a pretty picture - tightly bound leaves in various colors of jade and green with a sweet, slightly grainy aroma. I didn't find the dry leaf to be especially fragrant.

I used a teaspoon of leaf per 8 ounces of 190 degree water and allowed an initial infusion time of four minutes. There's a wonderful buttery quality to this golden green colored tea that is immediately apparent and brings a smile to the face. Not only marvelously buttery, but smooth and floral, this tea pleases the senses right away. The floral scent and taste is light in nature but melds exquisitely with the buttery smoothness of the tea. The floral tastes are completely pervasive and linger delicately in the mouth.

My second infusion colored to a tawny golden color and was even more floral with the buttery aspects substantially reduced but still very textural overall. The floral and creamy balanced well overall and the flavor of the tea remained vibrant and full. I found this tea to be hearty and yet elegant as well. I loved the clear, fine flavors, so easy to pick out and savor. This tea was fantastic.
