|"Overall a very enjoyable and refreshing tea that I would certainly be happy to add to my collection. A well balanced and beautifully blended tea.
As far as introductions to a new company go, I think this tea was a brilliant starting point. Indeed so good that I’m just enjoying a pot of this as I write. The dried leaves themselves are lovely, and you can discern the mix of Darjeeling and Assam teas in the blend. There is also plenty of tippy present and and an aroma that takes you into the wonderful world of teashops , caddies and tins.
I brewed with boiling water and found 4-5 minutes to be the optimum brewing time. I like a slightly lighter tea so would tend to stay more towards the 4 minute mark. The liquor is beautifully clear with a lovely amber color that has a likeness to Darjeeling teas coupled with the deepness of an Assam. Indeed this is a theme for the tea as a whole, the light, delicacy of a Darjeeling coupled with the body and fullness of an Assam and just the slightest of malty notes present with a gentle, almost sweet note in there as well.
Overall a very enjoyable and refreshing tea that I would certainly be happy to add to my collection. Light enough to serve as an afternoon tea and yet with enough body for a lighter option in the morning. Would go very well I feel with a thin slice of lemon as well. A well balanced and beautifully blended tea.
