This tea is a beautiful Chinese green, and after 2 minutes at 185°, it gives me a deep, honey-yellow liquor. So far, it's good, but my optimism begins to falter when the artificial, perfumey scent hits my nose.

The texture is a pleasant surprise, smooth with a buttery mouthfeel. The flavour is balanced, but the jasmine itself is a bit too harsh to make a delicate, brilliant blend. There's a slight smokiness to the aftertaste that I prefer not to find in teas that include a floral component.

This is simple and solid, but because it's a bit harsh and bitter, it's about only one step above my basic grocery store jasmine blend. It may be worth buying if you're already ordering from Fusion Tea Room, but otherwise I can't say it's worth the effort and shipping. Personally, I can't see myself buying from this company right now because they only have flavoured teas. They don't even have some token straight teas like most companies that concentrate on blends. Flavoured blends are fine, but I prefer more selection in a company unless they're highly specialised (e.g. they only sell Taiwan oolongs, supply from a single garden, etc.). So, while this is a fine tea, it's not one I'll have again.
